French photograhers and environmental activists, Nora Lemoal and Benjamin Fabre, introduce the an new project called the Aloha Surf Journal. The purpose of this ethical-artistic project is to reconnect the art of surfing with its core values of love, sharing and respect.

These two surfers have traveled the world capturing the coastlines beauty, fragility and ‘rippability’. Just one year ago the project was launched after publishing images on their website and writing articles for various magazines and online editorial.

In an attempt to contribute to the protection of the ocean, Lemoal and Fabre have partnered with the Surfrider Foundation Europe in France and O’Neill to organize photography exhibits and conferences on the themes of surfing and ecology to contribute to the ocean’s protection.

The current project, ‘Aloha Surf Photography’ is being featured as an exhibit until November 1st on the Surfrider Campus in Biarritz, France, and soon to be in Paris and Marseille.

The goal of Lemoal and Fabre’s project is to prove that everyone can contribute to our planet in their own way. Their photographs are used as tools for change because when people buy one of their clichés, they give 10% of all Aloha Surf Journal‘s revenues to Surfrider Foundation Europe to support their causes.

On their way around the globe, they have also gathered interviews from some of the best surfers in the world and created an original concept called “I Surf, I Care” where famous surfers reveal their relationship with the ocean and environment.
